The National Park Foundation has joined with Disney
to launch a new program:  Open OutDoors for Kids.

The NPF states “This initiative will help open the outdoors for young people and encourage America’s youth to get outside, be active, and experience our national parks. We know that as students grow more engaged with the parks, they’re more likely to become the next generation of park stewards.”

Disney is generously donations up to $250,000 to help fund Open OutDoors for Kids and support the National Park Foundation. I’ve included a link below or you can visit:

Every $10 can open the outdoors to a kid by sending them on a day-long adventure to a national park. You can help make programs like field trips, day camps, classroom curriculum and teacher training available to the hardest-to-reach kids so they get the chance to discover our shared history and enhance their future.

This is our chance to help ensure all children learn the majestic beauty of our national parks, and grow up to appreciate America’s heritage.  Thank you.
